AtomKnit upper
Introducing the latest version of FlyKnit-AtomKnit. Flyknit fabric stretches, steams and locks in. It provides a lightweight, contoured fit with minimal water absorption and enhanced breathability.
Breathable upper allows cool air to flow into the structure and humid air to escape. Stay cool, dry and comfortable.
The lacing system secures the midfoot to reduce slippage inside the shoe so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
ZoomX Midsole
Nike ZoomX foam in the heel is incredibly responsive and lightweight, giving you optimal energy return and shock absorption for your miles.
It combines with a Zoom Air unit, providing efficient energy return with every step.
A carbon fiber plate provides an agile feel with every step. This energy return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, reducing fatigue and improving performance, keeping you going longer. Embedded within the generous ZoomX platform, and complementing its responsive nature, is a full-length carbon fiber plate.
Designed to minimize energy loss during toe flexion without increasing the demand on the calf, it rises under the heel as you move forward, providing the sense of momentum that turns into extra-energized strides. Curved plate at the forefoot, helping to give the runner back some of the energy they invest in toe-off.
An air zoom unit has also been used in the Victory’s midsole to offer the highest energy return of any Nike racing shoe. The units have been used in the forefoot to cushion your stride and give you the best possible protection and comfort when running. Ensuring lightweight, durable and versatile cushioning, the units incorporate pressurized air inside that compresses and recovers as you run through the gait cycle. The unit compresses to reduce the force of impact, and then recovery allows the air unit to return to its original shape and volume to ensure a soft, responsive base from which to propel yourself. Every time you land, the powerful Air Zoom pads absorb your energy and return it to your next move.
