Nike Air Zoom Maxfly 2 – Proto

Ready for the world’s fastest athletes, the Maxfly 2 is back on the starting line.

Designed for the 100- to 400-meter dash (hurdles races too), they combine an incredibly aggressive feel with the reactivity of an Air Zoom unit to propel the fastest sprinters on the planet.

Nike updated the base and upper from the previous version to optimize the speed of the Air Zoom unit. You also get improved stability and control both on the straights and in the turns until you cross the finish line.

The shape and structure of the carbon fiber Flyplate, lighter and more reactive than the previous version, offer greater propulsion. It helps you stay alert and minimizes deceleration.

The Air Zoom unit in the forefoot has two chambers that provide propulsion and stability from take-off to the finish line.

Nike removed the center spike from the original Maxfly and raised the platform on the toe side. This helps the spikes provide more stability on straights and turns.

Nike Flyweave construction in the upper provides a secure and adaptable fit for different foot shapes.
